These loved-up photos are the final social media pictures posted by the 20-year-old co-pilot who died in Sunday’s horror plane crash in Florida. Nathalia Gadelha Filgueiras posed with her boyfriend Justin, also a pilot, during a trip to Costa Rica.

And in another poignant post, she shared a video of herself and her boyfriend flying together and wrote: “How often do you see 2 pilots under 21 with a commercial, multi-engine, instrument, CFI/CFI-I?”

Chilling audio recorded the cockpit’s final moments before the fireball crash, which left behind a huge crater in the road. Horrified witnesses said the doomed jet hit the ground “like a missile”.

Nathalia could be heard shouting over the mayday call: “We are in an overspeed condition, descending 20,000ft per minute. We’re descending 8,000 – mayday, mayday, – we’re descending 10,000ft per minute.”

Her male co-pilot, who has not been identified, was heard reciting the Lord’s Prayer during the distress call.

In another recent photo, shared on Threads, Nathalia posed inside the cockpit of a plane, writing: “LearJet60!!!!! ALL GLORY TO GOD! AMEM [sic].” Many of her posts involved planes.

Nathalia, earned her private pilot’s license in October 2023 aged just 17 while she was still in high school, said her dream was to one day become a commercial airline pilot, but she was too young to apply for a job at American Airlines, her heartbroken family said.

Her mum Camila told the New York Post: “I wanted her to live her dream, but I knew that her dream was going to be the thing that would take her away from me.

“I knew that a plane was gonna take her away from me. I always knew it but I was so proud of her. I know she was living her dream. I know if she could pick a way to go, this would be her way to go, but I didn’t want it to be so soon.”

Nathalia featured in a segment on local tv news where she revealed she had earned her wings before getting her driver’s license. She said at the time: “I definitely do brag because people say, ‘Oh, you can’t drive,’ and I’m like, ‘yeah, but I can fly’.

“I like being different than everyone, so to me, I think it’s cool that like it’s not really an opportunity, I just didn’t do it, and this is how it ended up. Some people think that it’s weird that I can fly planes, but I can’t drive a car, I mean I can but, a lot of people think it’s funny.”
