Truro have since confirmed in a club statement that the incident involved Yassine En-Neyah. The former Nottingham Forest academy starlet, 26, had been named among the Tinners’ substitutes for the match.

Truro’s statement read: “Truro City can confirm that this afternoon’s match against Folkestone Invicta has been postponed.

“Yassine En-Neyah required medical assistance during the warm-up and was transferred to the William Harvey hospital in Ashford for further treatment. We will provide a further update in due course.”

Football fans have been quick to send their well-wishes to the former Nottingham Forest academy star.

Truro are currently second in the National League South, trailing table toppers Ebbsfleet by a single point. Meanwhile Folkstone are 14th in the table, with five wins, five draws and five losses.
