Adam Peaty‘s devastated mother says she’s the ‘most broken version’ of herself ahead of his Christmas wedding to Gordon Ramsay‘s eldest daughter, Holly.
The Olympic swimmer is expected to marry his fiancée in a lavish ceremony at Bath’s Abbey Church of Saint Peter and Saint Paul on December 27, followed by a reception at Kiln House country estate in Wiltshire.
But Peaty’s mother Caroline has been barred from the service following an increasingly toxic and inconveniently public row that began in November, when she was not invited to her imminent daughter-in-law’s hen-party.
Other family members due to attend the lavish ceremony – where guests will include Sir David Beckham and his wife Lady Victoria – have boycotted the event in support of Caroline.
Taking to Instagram on Monday, she admitted the last 12 months have been among the most difficult of her life, but vowed to bounce back in the new year.
She wrote: ‘This year, I met the most broken version of myself but also the strongest. 2026, get ready, because I’m coming back stronger than ever.’

The emotive post coincided with a series of updates from her estranged son, who showed off his muscular physique while posing shirtless alongside Holly.
Captioning the shots, he marvelled: ‘Less than two weeks until we’re getting married. Where did the time go? Yes this is literally the only picture we have together in the last few weeks.’
Commenting on the post, shared by Peaty on Sunday evening, Holly wrote: ‘Such a poser.’
Meanwhile Caroline is demanding Netflix remove her from Gordon Ramsay’s new documentary because she doesn’t want them ‘cashing in’ on her misery, it has been revealed.
Caroline and husband Mark have sent the streaming giant, which is screening the celebrity chef’s new series early next year, a ‘cease and desist’ letter by signed delivery, a source has stated.
The insider told the Daily Mail: ‘Caroline does not want Gordon or his family, which now includes her son Adam to profit from them.
‘Enough damage has already been done which has been devastating for them.’
The Olympic champion’s mum Caroline has told Netflix bosses they did not consent to being filmed at Adam and fiancée Holly Ramsay’s engagement party, and are still awaiting a response.

The celebration was captured by the famous cook’s production company and is due to be shown in Being Gordon Ramsay.
The family source said: ‘Someone from Gordon’s team leaked the news that Caroline had written to Netflix via his production team.
‘Why are they causing havoc just to promote a documentary, and why should they have the right to cash in on their misery?
‘They are using the family fallout as a selling point. It is disgraceful.’
It is understood that Adam’s public fallout with his mum and the fact he and Holly have banned her from their wedding later this month will feature prominently in the fiery chef’s series, which he is said to be ‘very excited about.’
The source added: ‘Caroline has said the family were not asked for their consent to be filmed for Gordon’s documentary at last year’s engagement do.
‘She was very clear that, after everything that’s happened, they do not want to be featured.

‘She was filmed giving a speech as were the family during arrivals and while mingling at the party.’
A spokesperson for the Ramsay family told Daily Mail that Adam’s family had attended the engagement party and were aware it was filmed.
They said: ‘There were filming notices up all over the party saying: ‘By attending, you give consent to being filmed.’
‘They are not interviewed, there is no on camera speaking and they are not featured in the finished edits of the programme, so no additional consent would have been required.’
It is understood tensions between the two families began during Holly and Adam’s high profile engagement bash last December but footage is set to show the champion swimmer happily engaging with his parents.
Gordon was filmed over nine months as he opened five new restaurants in London, alongside juggling his personal life.
The source added: ‘Family feuds among the rich and famous always make good viewing and reading – look at the attention the Beckham story has had with the parents fallout with their eldest son Brooklyn.’

Grievances between the Peaty’s and Ramsay’s became apparent at that party, according to The Sun with a source telling the publication: ‘Adam’s family were at the engagement party, when relations were much better. Things went downhill from there.
‘His mum was unhappy some of the family weren’t there and confronted Gordon at the event.
‘Guests were made to sign non-disclosure agreements and hand in phones as the party was filmed.’
But the source close to Caroline told the Daily Mail: ‘There was no row or confrontation.
‘There was just a conversation about why all their side was invited and not all of Caroline’s family, like her sister Louise whom she is very close to. There was no shouting!
‘Caroline and Mark have now warned Gordon’s production company by signed for delivery. in a cease and desist letter. that they do not want to be featured in his documentary, and are not allowing footage.
‘They never signed any agreement to be filmed, nor di their daughter Bethany. But she is happy with any involvement and has sided with Adam against their mum.
‘It is like they are using their platform, their wealth and power to keep hammering our family. Why wont they leave us alone?’
‘Adam is a mental health ambassador but he is pushing his own family into a dark place.’
