Here’s what you might want to prepare dinner the proper Christmas dinner with out the stress

The Daily Star’s Abigail Hunt absolutely hates cooking and everything that comes with it, but being armed with selection of Morphy Richards cookware made the experience of whipping up a Christmas dinner actually… enjoyable

I’ll admit it, Christmas cooking usually fills me with a low-level panic. Too many dishes, not enough hob space, and the constant fear that something will go cold while I’m carving.

So this year, I decided to test whether the right kitchen kit could actually make festive cooking feel… enjoyable. Armed with a selection of Morphy Richards cookware, I cooked a full roast dinner, baked a comforting mac and cheese, and finished with a banana bread loaf – all without losing my head.

The backbone of the meal was the five-piece recycled aluminium saucepan set, which quickly earned its keep.

From boiling potatoes to simmering gravy and preparing veg, each pan heated evenly and felt reassuringly solid on the hob.

The cream finish looks smart enough to leave out and the soft-grip handles stayed cool even when things got busy. Most importantly, the non-stick ceramic coating meant nothing caught or burned – and washing up afterwards was refreshingly painless.

While the roast was doing its thing, I turned my attention to the bakeware set. I used the square cake tin to make a baked mac and cheese, and it delivered that perfect combination of crisp edges and gooey centre without sticking.

Later, the 2lb loaf tin came out for banana bread, which baked evenly and slipped out cleanly with minimal persuasion. It’s the sort of reliable bakeware you don’t think about while using – which is exactly what you want when you’ve got multiple dishes on the go.

Then came the real game-changer – the cordless food warming tray. Once everything was cooked, I loaded it up with serving dishes and took it straight to the table. No trailing wires, no reheating, no lukewarm roasties.

It kept everything at a steady temperature while I dished up, and for the first time in years, everyone ate at the same time – and while the food was still hot.
