Keely Hodgkinson and Chloe Kelly wow in daring attire as stars attend SPOTY ceremony

The 2025 Sports Personality of the Year awards takes place at Salford’s MediaCityUK on Thursday night, with a number of athletes up for nomination for the coveted prize.

Presented by Gabby Logan, Alex Scott and Clare Balding, the not-to-be-missed ceremony will celebrate 12 months of impeccable action from the world of sports, with six finalists making the shortlist for the SPOTY award. Lionesses Hannah Hampton and Chloe Kelly are in the running, while rugby union star Ellie Kildunne is also in contention.

Luke Littler sees his name in the hat as a result of a whirlwind year on the darting circuit, while Career Grand Slam winner, Rory McIlroy, looks to cap off an incredible season in the majors and on the PGA Tour and DP World Tour in style. Elsewhere, newly-crowned F1 champion, Lando Norris, could take home the award – following his immaculate season on the grid with McLaren.
