Donald Trump in one other Epstein recordsdata photograph partying with bikini-clad ladies

The Justice Department’s limited disclosure of files related to the investigation into Jeffrey Epstein hardly included any new information about his friendship with the President – unless you look very closely

Another photo of Donald Trump partying with bikini-clad women was revealed in last night’s partial release of Jeffrey Epstein files.

The Justice Department released a heavily redacted cache of evidence collected during their investigation into America’s most notorious paedophile. The files released last night mainly consist of photos of Epstein’s home in New York and his private island Little St James, taken when they were raided by law enforcement.

It also includes some – but by no means all – of the private photos Epstein kept in his collection, some of them lurid, others featuring high-profile figures and celebrities. Inclusion in the files is not an indication of wrongdoing or knowledge of Epstein’s crimes.

Many photos were apparently taken during a tour of Asia Epstein took with Bill Clinton, and include photos of the former President relaxing in a swimming pool. Andrew Mountbatten Windsor, Michael Jackson, Kevin Spacey, Mick Jagger, Peter Mandelson and Sir Richard Branson are among the other well-known figures who appear in the collection.

But the current President only appears in one photo in last night’s release. The photo is of a sideboard covered with framed photos in Epstein’s New York lair – with the drawer open to reveal even more photos. Two of the photos appear to show Donald Trump. One – of the President, his wife Melania and Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s fixer and sometime girlfriend who is in prison for sex trafficking – has been widely circulated. The other has not. It appears to show a younger Donald Trump partying with four glamorous women, two of whom are dressed in bikinis.

Earlier this month a separate previously unseen image of Trump partying with young women was released in a cache of documents handed to the House Judiciary Committee by the Epstein estate. After the photos were released, several White House officials, including press secretary Karoline Leavitt and top aide Steven Cheung, made social media posts highlighting the images that included President Clinton.

Trump repeatedly attempted to deflect from his own links to Epstein by suggesting Clinton and other Democrats were also linked to him. He didn’t talk about the issue as he left the White House late Friday on his way to deliver a speech in North Carolina.

In a statement, Clinton spokesman Angel Ureña said the Epstein investigation “isn’t about Bill Clinton.” “There are two types of people here,” he said. “The first group knew nothing and cut Epstein off before his crimes came to light. The second group continued relationships after that. We’re in the first. No amount of stalling by people in the second group will change that.” Clinton has never been accused of misconduct by Epstein’s known victims.

Long before the Department of Justice’s release of case files on Jeffrey Epstein included several photos of Clinton, Republicans had zeroed in on the former president and his association with the wealthy financier. Republicans on the House Oversight Committee had subpoenaed both Bill and Hillary Clinton for depositions earlier this year, but received a response that the Clintons wanted to provide a written statement of what “little information” they had on Epstein. The Republican chair of the committee, Rep. James Comer, has demanded they appear for in-person testimonies and threatened to initiate contempt of Congress proceedings if they don’t.

Multiple former presidents have voluntarily testified before Congress, but none has been compelled to do so.
