Anthony Joshua breaks Jake Paul’s jaw in two locations after brutal combat as Tyson Fury message despatched

Anthony Joshua needed six rounds to finish off YouTuber Jake Paul in what proved to be a gruelling encounter in Miami, Florida.
The social media star utilised tactics to avoid his opponent in the opening rounds, but once cornered, he found himself on the deck.
Joshua eventually found his rhythm, flooring Paul twice in the fifth round before delivering the decisive blow in the sixth with a crushing right hand that prompted the referee’s intervention.
“No, I needed to do better. I needed to do better,” the British heavyweight reflected post-fight.
“It’s a win, but it’s not a success. I think my coach expects more from me and I expect more from myself. But what can we do? I have to move forward. I have to put that in the past now.”
“After today, you may see a bit of social media… but for me, it’s in the past. I can’t live off that win, I’ve got a lot of improvement I need to do.”
Paul sustained a fractured jaw during the clash, with MVP co-founder Nakisa Bidarian offering an update on the American’s medical status, confirming his hospital visit.
“We think he broke his jaw,” he explained. “He’s fine. We met with Netflix afterwards. He took a shower. He drove himself to the hospital. A broken jaw is common in sports, particularly in boxing or MMA, and I think the recovery time is four to six weeks.”
Given the drama, The Star has examined some of the standout moments from this brutal encounter.
