Donald Trump units sights on Cuba in warning – ‘Make deal before it is too late’

President Donald Trump appears to have set his sights on Cuba, warning the country to “make a deal” with the US “before it is too late”.

The US president said the flow of oil and money from Venezuela – Cuba’s long-standing ally – would now stop. The country is believed to send around 35,000 barrels of oil a day to the island. Trump’s threat comes after US forces seized Venezuelan leader Nicolás Maduro in a raid on Caracas on January 3.

“Cuba lived, for many years, on large amounts of OIL and MONEY from Venezuela. In return, Cuba provided “Security Services” for the last two Venezuelan dictators, BUT NOT ANYMORE!” Trump wrote on Truth Social on Sunday. “THERE WILL BE NO MORE OIL OR MONEY GOING TO CUBA – ZERO! I strongly suggest they make a deal, BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE.”
