Qinetiq agrees £205m deal to maintain Typhoon jets flying

Qinetiq has signed a £205m deal to help keep Britain’s fleet of Typhoon fighter jets ready to take to the skies.

The defence firm’s five-year deal, running until 2030 and announced today, will deliver radar upgrades and other engineering services to 129 aircraft.

It is an extension of an existing arrangement and will use artificial intelligence and digital technology to reduce the time needed to get the jets ‘airworthy and mission ready’.
