Trump’s son informed UK police he’s ‘very close’ to alleged rape sufferer, court docket informed

In dramatic court proceedings at Snaresbrook Crown Court, jurors heard that Barron Trump, the youngest son of US President Donald Trump, told London police he is “very close” to an alleged rape victim

US President Donald Trump’s youngest son, Barron, has reportedly made a bombshell revelation. A court reportedly heard that the 19-year-old told the Metropolitan Police he is “very close” to an alleged rape victim.

Barron attempted to alert UK police from the US after reportedly witnessing a woman being attacked during a video call to London, a court has heard. The woman, who cannot be named for legal reasons, is said to be a friend of Barron’s.

Moreover, she is the alleged victim in the case against 22-year-old Matvei Rumiantsev, who is currently on trial at Snaresbrook Crown Court facing charges including two counts of rape and assault.

Jurors were reportedly told that on January 18, 2025, Barron video-called the woman and, believing she was being assaulted, contacted the Met. A transcript of the call, released by the Crown Prosecution Service, records Barron saying: “Oh I’m calling from the US, uh I just got a call from a girl, you know, she’s getting beat up.”

The conversation continued: “This was happening about eight minutes ago. I just figured out how to, how to call someone.

“Uh, uh it’s really an emergency.” Barron also told police he had met the alleged victim through social media, The Canberra Times reported.

The court also heard that, following the incident, Barron had emailed the Met investigating the allegations. When asked if he would provide a witness statement, he reportedly replied that what he saw was “very brief indeed but indeed prevalent”.

In the email, dated May 2, he explained: “I didn’t expect her to pick up due to the time difference. The phone was picked up.

“The individual who answered was a shirtless man with darkish hair. This view lasted maybe one second … then the view flipped to the victim.”

He added: “I made two of my friends call the Met Police in the UK, even though they are in the US. As per evidence I do not have any, I was told by the victim who I am very close with that this individual was giving her difficulty for a long time.”

Jurors further heard that police replied to Barron’s email, but did not receive any further response from him, nor to a follow-up sent on July 1. Rumiantsev reportedly denied all charges, including assault, bodily harm, two counts of rape, intentional strangulation, and perverting the course of justice by allegedly pressuring the woman to withdraw her complaints.

Rumiantsev is a 22-year-old Russian national and former MMA fighter. His trial is still underway at Snaresbrook Crown Court in London.
