‘You Want A CNN Contract?’ Bill O’Reilly Totally Loses It With NewsNation Host

Trump had originally sent thousands of federal officers as part of an immigration crackdown, which escalated tensions, perhaps prompting Vittert to ask fellow Fox News alum O’Reilly why the president was “backing down” now.
“He’s not backing down, he’s trying to defuse,” O’Reilly barked. “Why would you say he was backing down? You want a CNN contract?”
Vittert kept his cool, and O’Reilly, who lost his Fox News job in 2017 amid multiple sexual harassment allegations, veered into a right-wing claim about someone funding the protests.
Viewers took issue with O’Reilly’s take on Trump’s move.
“Calling it ‘defusing’ after lighting the match isn’t leadership..it’s cleanup. Mocking the question doesn’t make it disappear,” one wrote on X.
“If it were defusing, no one would be this defensive about the question,” another commented.
