CCTV launched after ‘rape on college campus in Sussex’
Police are appealing for information after a man was captured on CCTV after an alleged rape on a university campus.
A male victim in his 20s claims he was raped by a man at the Bognor Regis campus of the University of Chichester between 10pm and 10.45pm on Monday, January 5.
Now, more than a month later, Sussex Police have released images of a person who they believe has information which could lead to an arrest.
CCTV footage captured on the campus shows a man wearing a grey tracksuit with the hood pulled up and a black coat.
In two of the pictures he has glasses on, while in the other they have been taken off.
The public have been urged to come forward if they have information about the identity of the person in the footage.
Detective Inspector Matt Phelps said: ‘A thorough investigation has been launched into this incident, with the welfare of the victim as our foremost priority.
