Mum accused of holding intercourse events for teenagers advised them: ‘What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas’

A “party mum” has been accused of throwing wild functions with her underaged son and his mates while pressuring them to keep their lips sealed telling them: “What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.”
The mother has been accused of controlling which children had sex and setting up a designated room for the underaged teens to hook up in, Shannon O’Connor, 50, has been hit with a staggering 63 counts in connection with the alleged parties throughout the 2020 and 2021 school year.
Alongside this she has been accused of watching numerous sexual assaults happening at these parties and also pressuring young underage girls to lose their virginity. The woman has been accused of hosting these Project X style parties at her Silicon Valley house in Los Gatos residence, California. Prosecutors said O’Connor used Snapchat to talk with her son’s friends and often brought up subjects such as sex and drinking with them.
Some of the teenage boys commented on the odd relationship between them and the mother as some even said they spoke to the woman every day. One kid said: “Looking back on it, it’s pretty weird,” when asked about the relationship between O’Connor and the school children.
A student, known as John Doe 5, told the court O’Connor had gone beyond her “cool mom” reputation. The boy explained to the court over time the mother became more like one of the “popular” girls of their own age.
John Doe 5 also told the court the woman allegedly controlled who had sex with who. And on top of this O’Connor has been accused of allowing sexual assaults to happen at these parties. Legal documents brought to the court state the “party mom” would encourage the underaged children to get drunk and have sex for her own sexual gratification.
One girl told the court that O’Connor had bought her an expensive Tiffany necklace, flowers, and smoothies. Alongside this the school girl revealed the pair also spoke everyday. The girl said: “She called me “pretty” or “beautiful.’”
She also claimed O’Connor made comments about the other school girls. The child said the mother told her they were “all b****** and how I was the best girl.”
Many of the texts the mother sent were on Snapchat and have since been deleted due to the nature of the app. O’Connor has been hit with charges for allegedly organising sex parties with a group of teens at both her home in Los Gatos and in vacation rentals.
The rental’s owner told the court the alleged sex parties had left their beachfront property completely “trashed.” The rental owner said: “It’s a valuable property. We have two beautiful bathrooms. The boys peed everywhere around the yard … really acting like a bunch of hooligans.”
Prosecutors said during a New Year’s Eve party with five underaged children O’Connor allegedly watched and laughed as a drunken teenager sexually battered a young girl in bed. At the same NYE party the mother also allegedly watched as a boy in a hot tub sexually assaulted an incapacitated girl.
Court documents said the girl was reportedly so drunk “she could barely hold her head above water.” O’Connor faces up to 30 years in prison if convicted.
