Girl, 17, killed in three-car collision is pictured as brother says she was ‘like a greatest buddy’ to him

The family of a 17-year-old girl who was killed in a three-vehicle collision have paid tribute to the teenager as her brother described her as a ‘best friend’.

Demi Edmunds was the only pedestrian in a crash on the A4042 in Cwmbran at around 12.25pm on Thursday.

Gwent Police and the Welsh Ambulance Service attended the scene following a collision involving three cars.

However, the teen from Caldicot, a town also in Monmouthshire, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Her family have described the ‘kind and caring’ 17-year-old as ‘once met, never forgotten in a heartfelt tribute.

Her brother Jake said the youngster was ‘the best sister [he could’ve asked for,’ adding how Demi was ‘funny, kind and caring.

‘Me and her were very close, she was like a best friend to me that I could trust with anything and everything, but she’s no longer with us anymore,’ he said.

‘Hopefully she’s in heaven somewhere better.’
