ESPN Vet Delivers Brutal Olympic Dispatch For JD Vance Backers Flooding Her Mentions

Sports commentator Sarah Spain doubled down on her criticism of Vice President JD Vance, while also condemning his supporters for flooding her inbox with hate after her initial remarks.
Spain, known for her work at ESPN, said last week on her “Good Game” podcast that she felt like she had “looked at a demon, like the devil” when she sat near Vance at a U.S. women’s hockey match during the 2026 Milan Cortina Winter Olympics.
“Just wanted to give you a heads up that if you see some weird comments on my Instagram that I haven’t had a chance to delete yet, it’s because I got called out for criticizing a pedophile-protecting, American-who-was-executed-by-ICE-slandering person,” Spain said in the clip.
She added that some of Vance’s supporters were “so cotton-headed that they will defend literally anything done by this person” and had flooded her mentions with insults, calling her “fat” and “dumb” and saying they hoped she would “die and get cancer.”
“So if you see one of those, don’t be confused,” she continued. “They are currently in favor of what our administration is doing in this country, and I couldn’t give two shits about their opinion of me.”
She concluded by saying she is “living the dream” despite the online attacks.
