CCTV shows moment probation officer kissed convicted murderer

CCTV captured the moment a former female probation officer kissed her convicted murderer lover during a prison visit. Bethany Dent-Reynolds received her sentence earlier this month after details emerged of her improper relationship with Kieran Robinson.

Woolwich Crown Court heard how the 27-year-old began a romantic affair with the killer following their meeting at HMP Belmarsh – Britain’s most secure prison. Robinson, 26, along with his cousin were both given 23-year terms for killing a teenager in West Dulwich, south London, during summer 2020.

Dent-Reynolds continued visiting Robinson following his move to HMP Lowdham Grange, Nottinghamshire, with CCTV footage from the establishment showing the pair embracing and kissing before sitting together on sofas.

Their hands remain intertwined as they chat, even whilst another individual can be seen approaching them at the Category B establishment, the footage reveals. Dent-Reynolds, from Forest Hill in southeast London, received an eight-month prison term after admitting misconduct in a public office.

The probation officer admitted to misconduct in a public office during her appearance at Woolwich Crown Court last month. The court heard she maintained an “inappropriate relationship with a serving prisoner named Kieran Robinson between February 15, 2024 and May 3, 2024.”

Dent-Reynolds also “caused software namely Ndelius Record, to perform a function with intent to secure unauthorised access to data held in a computer.”

Dent-Reynolds, of Forest Hill, southeast London, denied a second misconduct charge alleging “an inappropriate, romantic relationship with Kieran Robinson” between 1 March 2024 and 20 April 2024.

That charge was dropped. However, she admitted guilt to the original charge, relating to the romance with Mr Robinson, which lasted nearly three months.

Dent-Reynolds has now been sentenced to eight months behind bars.

The defendant disputed a third charge alleging she manipulated a computer “to perform a function with intent to secure unauthorised access to a program or data held in a computer or to enable any such access to be so secured” under the Computer Misuse Act 1990.
