Ex-solicitor caught eating and dashing continues to be on the run — regardless of 4 warrants

Kerry Stevens has already been slapped with four different arrest warrants after failing to appear before a court on charges of eating food and then refusing to pay for it

An ex-solicitor accused of a string of dine-and-dash incidents is still on the run as four warrants for her arrest remain outstanding, it emerged today.

Kerry Stevens, 40, has failed to appear at court on at least nine occasions and is now the subject of a fresh appeal by Essex Police who released a new mugshot of her on Thursday.

Details emerged as her partner Daniel Alani, 39, was due to be sentenced at Ipswich Crown Court, but the hearing was adjourned after he failed to attend. No warrant was issued for his arrest as the court accepted he had a sufficient reason for his absence.

Stevens has been charged with eleven counts of making off without payment and one count of theft from a shop. She denies the offences and is due to face trial later this year. A police spokesperson said she has links to Shoebury and Westcliff, both in Essex.

Anyone with information about her whereabout has been urged to contact cops. Stevens and Alani, both previously of the Southend area, were first named locally after allegedly targeting restaurants and taxi firms.

Alani has pleaded guilty to theft, theft from a shop and eight counts of making off without payment. His sentencing is now listed for Thursday (February 26).

It comes just days after another prolific thief went on the run after being able to escape from prison twice in the space of just one week.

Daniel Boakye, 21, had been put in prison after being convicted of carrying out a series of bitcoin thefts, and had been due to be deported to Ghana.

But earlier this week, it was reported that Boakye, had escaped HMP Feltham and had been on the run for several days before being apprehended and detained by the police.

But whilst recovering at Lewisham Hospital in London on Tuesday (February 17), he was able to escape once again and is yet to be formally discovered for a third time.

Police have launched an urgent appeal to help find the missing drill rapper and suspected gang member. Members of the public are being urged not to approach Boakye, as police are now on the hunt to track him down.
