Since it was launched in 2001, Tesco‘s own clothing brand – F&F – has undergone a dramatic makeover.

In fact, the supermarket’s most recent collections have sparked such a frenzy on social media platforms like TikTok and Instagram that many of F&F‘s most popular launches sell out within days.

While affordability is part of the appeal of supermarket clothes, F&F is giving customers even more bang for their buck by replicating designs from popular, high-end labels.

Bargain hunters are gleefully sharing their best Tesco finds – from Chanel-esque co-ord sets and cardigans to Barbour and Carhartt Barn-inspired outerwear that cost a fraction of the price.

While modelling a matching top and skirt from F&F, one user wrote: ‘Take a look at this gorgeous co-ord set that’s giving Chanel vibes.’

They also revealed that the set cost them under £40, whereas a comparable tweed set from the French designer label would set you back anywhere between £1,300 and £3,000.

F&F has also taken inspiration from high street giant Zara, Scandinavian label Malinas as well as Toteme.

So, can you tell these high-end dupes apart?

Little black dress

F&F loyalists couldn’t believe their eyes when they noticed the supermarket’s clothing brand had recreated a popular Chanel style…for one-hundredth the price.

TikTok user @gems.moss declared F&F is ‘serving designer vibes on a supermarket budget’ as she showed off the brand’s black boucle dress with a contrast trip and gold buttons.

It is remarkably similar to Chanel’s Black and White Woven Camellia Button Dress, but at a significantly cheaper price point.

While Chanel’s design is selling for nearly £2,700 on resale website, F&F’s version was priced at £27.50.

Before it sold out, the dress was on sale for just £13.50.

Shearling coats

F&F also ‘duped’ luxury label Toteme’s £2,000 designer coat for less than £50, as TikTok users noticed how Tesco’s own clothing brand has undergone a major makeover.

While the Teddy Shearling Jacket is priced at a staggering £2,160, Tesco’s nearly-identical coat is a steal for £49.50.

F&F’s iteration has the same shearling look and matching duffel clasps as Tesco told The Times that demand for its Borg Collarless Duffel Coat had soared on the back of the Toteme jacket’s popularity.

And after it quickly sold out, fans are clamouring for F&F to bring the style back.

Bodysuits & shapewear

Since undergoing a rebrand, F&F has found favour among fashionistas on a budget since it routinely replicates famous designer styles.

One of the first ‘dupes’ that got everybody talking about F&F was its £14 version of the SKIMS’s Fits Everybody bodysuit.

For fans looking to get Kim Kardashian’s look for less, the contour bodysuit is £50 cheaper than the SKIMS original.

TikTok user @sianniseafudge showed off her collection of F&F bodysuits in a video, as she revealed they are made from ‘the same buttery-soft, smoothing material’ as SKIMS.

Utility jackets

As countrycore fashion sweeps the High Street, F&F has recreated one of Carhartt Barn’s most popular styles: the Chore Jacket.

One of the Detroit-based brand’s most famous styles, the corduroy coat was fashioned over a century ago as Carhartt Barn started out creating outerwear for the everyday workers.

The bestselling Chore Jacket from Carhartt Barn was catapulted to TikTok fame after designer Veronica Beard was seen sporting a vintage version, and now F&F has successfully ‘duped’ the style for an astonishing £12.

The original is currently on sale for £175.95, down from £219.95.

Summer dresses

F&F has been branded 'the new Zara'
One of its early dupes was of 'dreamy' green embroidered frock from the high street giant

One of its earliest dupes was a ‘dreamy’ green apple dress that looked identical to Zara’s embroidered frock that was restocked multiple times before it was finally phased out

Several TikTok users have branded F&F ‘the new Zara’ for its range of going-out tops and co-ord sets, as they show off their ‘hauls’ of supermarket clothing online.

One of its earliest dupes was a ‘dreamy’ green apple dress that looked identical to Zara’s embroidered frock that was restocked multiple times before it was finally phased out.

F&F’s dress costs £29 while Zara’s version is priced between $80 and $90 (£55 and £65) on resale websites like eBay.

Leather jackets

F&F’s collection of coats and jackets is extensive, with lots of options to choose from as we transition to spring.

Among them is a brown faux-leather bomber jacket that is a perfect copy of Levant Leather’s style, down to the detailing on the zip.

The brown bomber jacket is priced at nearly £142 in comparison with F&F’s £45 copy.

Knitwear

F&F’s range of cardigans has drawn comparisons to Chanel on TikTok after the brand duped the luxury label’s famous preppy style.

However, some of the knitwear is also being likened to Scandinavian label Malina – including F&F’s neutral tan and cream style with metallic buttons.

A similar style from Malina will set you back by £410, but you can get the look for less with Tesco’s £14.50 dupe.
