Fosters launch rudest beer cans ever so blokes can ‘reconnect’ due to ‘Knob Holidays’

Men aren’t seeing their mates as much as they used to do, which is why Fosters have helpfully brought out a line of beer cans which have swear words on them to counter this

Fosters has boldly launched a line of profanity-riddled beer cans and introduced ‘Knob Holidays’ to help men connect with their pals.

The lager giant revealed plans to release cans emblazoned with the affectionate insults men already use with their closest mates, like “w******” and “knob-head”. These words might cause outrage in some circles, but if you say it to your mate Gary at the Dog and Bell it is guaranteed to make him feel warm and fuzzy.

The theory is that men can find it difficult to be vulnerable with our chums, without first calling them a rude nickname. According to research from Fosters, a quarter of men say they’ve lost more than half of their friends in recent years and 61% admit to finding it painfully awkward trying to reconnect.

Experts say that with the new Fosters cans, reconnecting won’t be an issue. Users have to simply drop round to their mate and present him with the expletive-laden cans.

They should then ask him about how he’s coping with the recent divorce. However, tell him that if he ever feels the conversation is straying into the realm of the uncomfortable all he needs to do is read the word written conveniently on his beer can.

Campaigners say you will both breathe a huge sigh of relief and feel safe in the knowledge that friendship is being well and truly rekindled.

As long as it’s relatively early in the evening, reading the word shouldn’t be an issue. A bit later on and you’ll both be drunk so needing lubrication for vulnerability won’t be necessary. You can just put your pal in a headlock and say “I love you”. He’ll understand.

Anyway, it’s a campaign Daily Star can get behind – being a publication which champions naughty words and beer in equal measure.

The cans are also olive branches. Mates who’ve drifted apart can also head online and send a ‘Love You Can’ directly to a friend, complete with a personalised note to act as an easy, no-pressure way to break the ice and open the door to conversation, again in a style that rings true with men all over Britain.

Fosters is even giving British men the opportunity to go on holiday with their mates – and they’re calling it ‘Knob Holidays’. We know you haven’t spoken to your pal in six months, but would you like to go on a ‘Knob Holiday’ with him? Where do I sign?

In the company’s own words: “Spawned from the popular kn*bhead moniker, the holiday tour company is certainly different.”

Fosters has even brought out “a travel-expert curated guidebook which caters specifically to British blokes who want to reconnect with friends”.

Zach Jordan, Senior Brand Manager at Foster’s said: “Foster’s understands that British mates don’t always say ‘I love you’ and that they have a unique way of showing they care – through banter, humour, and often a cheeky insult. The problem is, when life gets busy and friendships drift, it can feel awkward making that first move.”
