Britain threatens to BOMB Iran and can work with US after ‘appalling’ strikes

Britain has threatened to bomb Iran and will work with its American allies in the Middle East.
The threat comes as Iran continues its assault on the Middle East in revenge attacks for the joint US-Israeli operation yesterday which saw missiles rain down on Tehran.
In a joint statement with France and Germany, the UK suggested it could join attacks on Iranian soil for the first time.
“We will take steps to defend our interests and those of our allies in the region, potentially through enabling necessary and proportionate defensive action to destroy Iran’s capability to fire missiles and drones at their source,” it read.
“We have agreed to work together with the US and allies in the region on this matter.”
The move comes as Prime Minister Keir Starmer said yesterday the UK “played no role” in Operation Epic Fury, but warned British planes “are in the sky”.
Earlier today, the UK officially engaged in the conflict as the Ministry of Defence confirmed an RAF fighter jet downed an Iranian drone heading towards Qatar.
Iran continued to strike the Middle East today, with hopes of hitting US and French military bases. Missiles also tore down civilian infrastructure across the region.
London, Paris and Berlin jointly said they were “appalled by the indiscriminate and disproportionate missile attacks launched by Iran against countries in the region, including those who were not involved in initial US and Israeli military operations”.
