British Airways flight updates after Iran battle causes journey chaos
British Airways announced it will operate one flight from Muscat to London on March 5, while flights from Dubai, Tel Aviv, Doha, Abu Dhabi, Bahrain and Amman remain suspended due to the Middle East conflict
British Airways has issued a significant update to its customers in the wake of disruptions triggered by the conflict that broke out in the Middle East on Saturday. The UK-based airline announced on March 3 that it will commence one flight from Muscat, Oman, to London Heathrow, departing on Thursday, March 5.
The airline further stated that it remains unable to operate flights from several locations including Dubai and Tel Aviv. The airline declared: “We currently remain unable to operate flights from destinations including Dubai, Doha, Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, Amman and Tel Aviv.
“We’re continuing to do everything we can to support customers and colleagues in the region, and are in regular contact with them. We’re aware that a number of our customers are now in Oman, where the airspace is currently open.

Israel and the US initiated strikes on Iranian targets, including the compound of the country’s leader Ali Khamenei, on Saturday.
Iran has since retaliated with a series of drone and missile attacks, targeting neighbouring countries including the UAE and Bahrain.
Sir Keir Starmer told ministers the UK’s position on Iran was lawful and in the national interest as he chaired a Cabinet meeting on Tuesday.
A readout of the meeting from Downing Street read: “Turning to events in Iran, the Prime Minister set out the seriousness of the position and the decision the UK had taken on Sunday.
“He said the decision was lawful and in the UK’s national interest, adding that the UK was taking the steps necessary to protect British interests and British lives.”
He was referring to the decision to allow the US to use UK bases for defensive strikes, the Prime Minister’s official spokesman said.
“He then opened discussion on Iran to Cabinet, including on the ongoing contingency planning by the Government for the more than 300,000 British citizens currently in the Gulf.”
