F1 star bought ‘intimate’ with girlfriend in workplace as couple celebrated Australian GP win
An F1 star confessed to sharing a passionate moment after winning the Australian GP when he boldly admitted that “it got a bit steamy in there”
An F1 star admitted things got hot and heavy with his girlfriend in a team office moments after claiming victory at the Australian Grand Prix.
Former Brawn driver Jenson Button was brimming with emotion following his triumph in 2009 and was eager to enjoy some private time with his then partner Jessica Michibata shortly after leaving the podium. The new F1 season is now underway, with Melbourne hosting the opening race of the year on Sunday.
It was previously the setting for Button’s second-ever grid triumph 17 years ago, as he laid the foundation for what would become his career-best campaign. Racing for the newly-established Brawn GP, the 46-year-old claimed top spot after finishing 0.807 seconds ahead of team-mate Rubens Barrichello.

It was the start of an impressive run for Button, who won six of the opening seven races. However, he confessed to getting intimate with his then-girlfriend Jessica almost immediately after his victory in Australia.
The Brawn driver was reunited with his lingerie model girlfriend in the paddock. The couple enjoyed an intimate moment behind closed doors after asking an employee to leave the team office.
Upon exiting the room, Button told reporters: “It got a bit steamy in there.”
The pair wed in 2014 before splitting up the following year. In 2022, Button married former Playboy model Brittny Ward, with whom he has two children.
The F1 legend’s single campaign with Brawn delivered his only world championship. However, he reportedly banned Jessica from the Brazilian GP later that year as he aimed to secure the title in the season’s penultimate race.
A source from Brawn revealed at the time: “It’s such an important weekend for Jenson. He has hundreds of things to do and wants to be able to concentrate on them alone. Jessica normally always travels with him, but he has to keep his mind on the job, so to speak.”

Formula 1 fans can watch every practice, qualifier and race live with Sky’s Essential TV and Sky Sports bundle in an introductory deal that saves £336.
As well as Sky Sports access, this includes around 100 TV channels and free subscriptions to Netflix and Discovery+.
The move ultimately proved successful as the British racer became world champion after finishing fifth in Sao Paulo. Speaking after the race, Button explained: “Jessica was gutted she wasn’t here to see me become world champion, but she understands the situation.
“I’ve been telling her, ‘Come on honey, you can get off work, I want to see you now.’ But she can’t, she’s working. I’ll see her Friday and I can’t wait.”
Following his world title triumph, Button spent the next eight years racing for McLaren, placing as high as second in the drivers’ standings during the 2011 season. He retired in 2017, having claimed a total of 15 Grand Prix victories throughout his illustrious career.
