Pope Leo blesses child… who’s dressed like him!
Adorable pictures show the Pope blessing a baby dressed up as him.
During his weekly audience in St Peter’s Square in the Vatican yesterday, Pope Leo XIV could have been forgiven for thinking he was looking in the mirror when he encountered a mini-me version of himself.
The pint-sized pontiff wore a white zucchetto on his head and a white pellegrina on his shoulders – a cap and cape worn by catholic priests – which were near identical what Leo was wearing.
Pope Leo can be seen blessing the child before chatting with the youngsters during his meeting with pilgrims outside St Peter’s Basilica.
During the meeting yesterday, he encouraged Christians around the world to pray for for the innocent victims in the Iran War.
‘Let us continue to pray for peace in Iran, and throughout the Middle East, especially for the many civilian victims, including many innocent children,’ he told worshippers.
