Need to know: Walkers Recalls Hot Honey Crisps Over Milk Allergy Risk

  • Walkers has urgently recalled thousands of its new Hot Honey crisp multipacks after they were found to potentially contain unlisted milk.
  • The affected 6 x 25g packs have batch code GBB 584 031 and a best before date of May 16, 2026. Some packets may actually contain Mild Cheese and Onion seasoning instead of Hot Honey flavouring.
  • Customers with milk allergies or intolerances have been warned not to eat the crisps. Walkers confirmed to the Star that incorrect flavouring may have been used in limited production runs.
  • “Although this product includes precautionary allergen labelling for milk, milk is not included in the ingredients list and therefore the product poses a risk to people with an allergy to milk,” Walkers stated.
  • PepsiCo, which owns Walkers, has apologised for the manufacturing error. The company is working with the Food Standards Agency and retailers to inform consumers.
  • Anyone who bought the affected multipacks can return them for a full refund.
