Princess Beatrice and Eugenie advised to ‘strip themselves of Royal titles’ after Andrew saga
Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie are facing growing calls to be stripped of their royal titles, with a royal expert claiming King Charles is the only senior royal championing their cause amid family tensions

Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie are reportedly more isolated than ever, with “only one royal left” championing their cause, according to a royal expert. The daughters of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Sarah Ferguson are currently wrestling with the consequences of their parents’ connections to the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
While demands for Beatrice and Eugenie to be stripped of their official titles, royal commentator Robert Jobson has suggested that such a decision would need to be made by King Charles and Prince William, as the princess titles bind them to “it all”. Both Andrew and Sarah had their York titles removed from them last year, along with the King’s brother’s princely title.
The former couple, who previously lived together at the Royal Lodge mansion, were also ejected from the 30-room mansion in Windsor last month due to their connections to Epstein.
Mr Jobson claimed King Charles is very fond of his nieces and is supposedly the only one defending them.
Whilst he noted that “nobody gives up a title voluntarily – without royal duties, an HRH is a target, not a shield”, he added: “It ties them to Andrew. To Epstein. To all of it.” reports the Mirror.
Mr Jobson said: “Charles loves those girls. Always has. But he won’t go to war for Andrew – and they know it.
“William is cold-eyed about the institution. Unsentimental. Catherine backs people who stay quiet and get on with things. Of the three, Charles is the only one who actually cares.
“But in the end the rule should be simple: you work for the Crown, you keep the title. You don’t, you don’t. Charles and William need to make that decision.”
In a poll conducted by the Daily Express earlier this month, royal enthusiasts were asked whether their titles should be revoked.
A majority of those who responded believe the titles should be stripped away. Some 56 per cent of the 2,375 individuals who took part said that Beatrice and Eugenie should forfeit their princess titles.
The sisters have largely maintained a low profile in recent weeks, as they were also mentioned in the Epstein Files along with their parents. Being cited in the files does not imply any wrongdoing or criminal activity.
This follows royal expert Jennie Bond suggesting it might be time for Beatrice and Eugenie to relinquish their royal titles and privileges. Bond told the Mirror: “I don’t think either of them has ever flaunted their titles, but there’s obviously a huge cachet in some circles about being called a Princess.
“A title like that opens doors and establishes connections, which both Beatrice and Eugenie have utilised to their benefit. There’s nothing wrong in that, but now that their father has been stripped of his titles and their mother can no longer use hers, they might prefer to quietly drop the use of theirs.”
