Joe Rogan Says Certain U.S. Military Commanders Are ‘Just As Scary As Suicide Bombers’
Podcast host Joe Rogan made a startling comparison Friday when discussing a United States military commander who said the war in Iran was part of “God’s divine plan.”
“One of these high-level commanders says, ‘Don’t be worried because Trump is anointed by Jesus Christ to bring back Jesus’ return on Earth,’” Rogan said to guest Mark Norman during Friday’s episode of “The Joe Rogan Experience.”

“Those (guys) are just as scary as suicide bombers,” Rogan said.
Prior to that statement, Rogan and Norman had been talking about the differences between religious extremism and moderate religious beliefs.
Rogan was referencing reports that the Military Religious Freedom Foundation had received numerous complaints from service members about religious ideology making its way into military orders.
Mikey Weinstein, founder and president of the foundation, previously told HuffPost that the complaints have come from more than three dozen military units in at least 30 military installations.

“We started getting calls in the wee hours of Saturday morning from people saying their commanders were just jubilant about this and trying to tell people, ‘Don’t worry, it’s all part of God’s plan,’” Weinstein said.
The complaint Rogan was referring to was first reported by independent journalist Jonathan Larsen. The complaint to the MRFF came from a non-commissioned officer (NCO) who said a combat unit commander told a group of NCOs that Trump was “anointed by Jesus to light the signal fire in Iran to cause Armageddon and mark his return to Earth.”

The NCO added in his complaint that their commander “urged us to tell our troops that this was ‘all part of God’s divine plan’ and he specifically referenced numerous citations out of the Book of Revelation referring to Armageddon and the imminent return of Jesus Christ,” Larsen reported.
Rogan directly quoted this complaint during his show.
