Spring Break horror as three useless – however trio used final moments to save lots of sister

Three teens died in a Spring Break crash after Jackson Mobley helped save his sister Jamison, leaving a grieving community to honour their lives

A Spring Break trip turned into a scene of tragedy after three popular high school students were killed in a car crash. The trio of youngsters from Georgia were traveling to St. George Island, Florida, to visit loved ones when their vehicle veered off the road and smashed into a tree before bursting into flames.

Authorities have now identified the victims as Jackson Mobley, 18, Jaylyn Fehr, 17, and Charlotte Martin, 16. All three were students at Horizon Christian Academy.

Jackson’s 17-year-old sister, Jamison Mobley, survived the inferno after being pulled from the wreckage. She was airlifted by Survival Flight to a nearby hospital where she continues to fight for her recovery.

In a heartbreaking tribute, school officials revealed that Jackson’s final act on earth was ensuring his sister survived.

In a poignant social media post, the school said: “We know the last thing he did in his soul earthside was to help save his sister, Jamison.”

The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office described the group as “exceptional” individuals who were pillars of their community.

Jackson Mobley was remembered by his school as a “gentle giant” and a “dream son” who was known for his sharp wit and one-liners.

Jaylyn Fehr was a dedicated honour roll student and star volleyball player who had already set her sights on a future law career.

Similarly, Charlotte Martin was described as a “ray of sunshine” whose life was defined by her infectious smile, deep faith, and kindness toward others.

Sheriff AJ Tony Smith confirmed that while the investigation is ongoing, it remains unclear exactly what caused the vehicle to leave the shoulder of the road on Monday, April 6.

“We don’t know how fast they were going or what happened,” he admitted in a video statement.

The Sheriff’s Office has announced that memorial crosses bearing the names of the three teens will be placed at the site of the crash.

“Life is precious, and we would like to honour their lives and memories here in our community,” the office said.
