Bag of white powder explodes as topless man wrestled to floor by cops in dramatic arrest

This is the moment a bag of white powder explodes during a dramatic arrest as a topless man is wrestled to the ground by cops. Shocking footage captured the moment the shirtless suspect is tackled by undercover officers outside a Screwfix.

The man’s shoes fall off as he tries to kick out at the Bobbies as it takes three cops to restrain him on the concrete, slamming his arm to the ground.

Police said a 34-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a Class A drug. He was also arrested on suspicion of assaulting two emergency workers.

The chaotic arrest unfolded outside a Screwfix store in Brixton, south London, in front of horrified passers-by and shoppers.

In the clip, three plain-clothed officers are seen tackling the suspect to the ground in a car park.

But during the struggle, a package of white powder bursts open, spilling all over his hands and the floor.

The wind then appears to blow the powder into the faces of both the suspect and one of the officers.

Police wrestle the man down, with two officers pinning his arms while a third holds his legs.

He is eventually handcuffed as the powder continues to scatter across the scene. The empty bag then floats away.

A Met Police spokesman said: “A 34-year-old man remains in police custody after he was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a Class A drug and assaulting two emergency workers.

“The man was stopped by plain clothed officers outside a shop in Brixton, south London on Tuesday, 14 April.”
