Revealed: Eye-watering price of attending Ryder Cup in Ireland… greater than DOUBLE the price of Rome three years in the past!
Fans will have to fork out in excess of £400 to watch Europe’s defence of the Ryder Cup in Ireland next year – double the cost of entry for the contest in Rome in 2023.
The staggering prices for Adare Manor were revealed on Wednesday, with general admission tickets to one of the three competition days set at £433.
Although that is cheaper than the £544 gouged from golf fans at Bethpage Black, New York in 2025, the sums are eye-watering and well above the £191 charged in Rome, when Luke Donald’s European side crushed the United States.
In attempting to defend the steep pricing, the European Tour Group’s chief Ryder Cup officer Richard Atkinson told the BBC: ‘We acknowledge it’s an increase from Rome.
‘A lot has happened in the world since then. We are lower than Bethpage. We’ve tried to make this as accessible as possible to a wide demographic of people. Our practice day tickets will be from 89 euros and juniors from 20 euros.

‘Our prices are proportionate to a global sporting event. This event has grown in stature and profile, it’s one of the biggest sporting events in the world. We’re confident in our pricing but we’ve made it accessible to everyone.’
Atkinson added in a statement: ‘There is already tremendous excitement about the Ryder Cup heading back to Ireland.
‘We have extensive plans in place to enhance the on-site experience for fans, including a record 20,000 grandstand seats and an increased number of giant screens. For the first time, there will also be an official Ryder Cup campsite with entertainment.
‘We also wanted to ensure that as wide a demographic as possible can be part of, and enjoy, this major global sporting event.’
