Meet Anthony Gordon’s rarely-seen childhood sweetheart WAG set to affix him in Barcelona

Anthony Gordon will be setting down roots in Spain after the World Cup with England having completed his move to Barcelona, and his biggest supporter Annie Keating will likely follow

It’ll be a summer of change for Anthony Gordon, who after the World Cup, will jet to sunny Spain to link up with his new Barcelona team-mates.

And Gordon’s longtime WAG also looks set to follow him to Barcelona as he embarks on a new footballing chapter in Spain. The 25-year-old departed Newcastle United at the end of May to sign for the La Liga champions.

Gordon penned a five-year deal in a move that commanded a fee of £69.3million. The England international will make the move to Spain over the summer, and Keating has followed him in every career move so far.

She will likely be in attendance as Gordon faces New Zealand alongside the Three Lions squad in a friendly fixture on Saturday evening.

The pair have been together for some time but they keep a reserved presence online. They have appeared together just a few times in public, including his presentation at Newcastle and at international fixtures with his country.

Keating’s social media platforms are mostly for family and friends, and her Instagram profile remains private. The pair met during childhood in their native city of Liverpool and have been together for several years.

It is unknown when the relationship first began, but they added to their family in 2023 with the birth of a baby boy.

Gordon also leaned on his partner after facing legal issues related to a driving ban. The then-Newcastle star had been caught driving his vehicle after being hit with a six-month suspension.

As a result, reports claimed that Keating had been driving him to training with the Magpies in order to help him further his career as a rising star in England. Before the pair jet off to Spain, Gordon will focus on helping his country at the upcoming World Cup.

The winger was selected by Thomas Tuchel to represent England at the major tournament taking place across the United States, Canada and Mexico. With future success on his mind, Gordon is also looking forward to trying to achieve silverware with Barca.

Speaking at his official unveiling, the 25-year-old said: “As soon as I knew Barca was a serious option, there was never any question. I always wanted Barca. Barca is the biggest club on the planet. It’s the stuff I dreamed of as a child. It really is a dream come true to be here.
