UK faculty ‘on lockdown’ as police arrest lady after ‘three folks injured’
A school in Manchester is reportedly ‘on lockdown’ this morning with a schoolgirl having been arrested. Pictures show a large emergency services presence outside the Co-op Academy on Plant Hill Road
A Manchester school is reportedly “in lockdown” this morning following reports of a serious incident, with a schoolgirl having been arrested.
Images reveal a substantial emergency services response outside the Co-op Academy on Plant Hill Road. Parents have indicated the school is currently under lockdown conditions.
Police and ambulance crews have been photographed at the school entrance and throughout the premises. A helicopter has also been spotted circling above. Greater Manchester Police said they have arrested a schoolgirl after three people were injured. The MEN understands the three people injured suffered injuries consistent with a knife.
A Greater Manchester Police statement said: “Officers are currently responding to an incident at a school on Plant Hill Road, Blackley where a schoolgirl has been arrested.
“Three people have been injured however injuries aren’t believed to be serious at this time. Emergency services remain on scene and we are supporting the school. There is not believed to be any wider threat to the pupils and staff in the school.”
