‘Revelation’ lawnmower ‘makes life a lot simpler’ and cables ‘a distant reminiscence’

‘This mower has been a revelation and makes my life so much easier’

Anyone who has wrestled with extension leads, tangled cables and awkward manoeuvring while mowing the lawn will understand the appeal of going cordless. Cordless lawnmowers have surged in popularity in recent years and now the LawnMaster Cordless Lawnmower is available for £208.99, down from £249.99, on Amazon, saving buyers 16% in the limited-time deal.

Supplied with two 24V 4.0Ah lithium-ion batteries and a one-hour fast charger, the mower offers impressive flexibility. While one battery is in use, the second can be charging, helping to minimise downtime and making it easier to tackle larger lawns without interruption.

It’s also part of the MX 24V Shared Battery System, allowing users to use compatible batteries across other garden tools. An intelligent battery management system automatically adjusts power delivery, depending on the grass conditions, the brand says.

When cutting through thicker patches, the mower increases power output, while lighter conditions allow it to conserve battery life and maximise runtime. For gardeners who take pride in their lawn’s appearance, the mower is fitted with a carbon steel blade designed to deliver a clean, precise cut.

There are six cutting heights available, ranging from 20mm to 70mm, all controlled through a simple single lever adjustment system. A rear roller also creates the striped finish many homeowners associate with professionally maintained lawns.

The mower offers two options for handling grass clippings. Users can collect cuttings in the included 32-litre fully assembled Redi-bag for easy disposal, or use the supplied mulch plug to finely chop the grass and return it to the lawn, where it can act as a natural nutrient.

The handles fold flat over the body of the mower, while the 32-litre grass collector folds down neatly for compact storage. The mower can even be stored upright, making it ideal for garages, sheds or households where space is at a premium.

Over on Argos, there is the McGregor 34cm Cordless Lawnmower for £150. This one comes with two 18volt 2.5Ah lithium batteries and a dual battery fast charger.

For those looking to spend a little bit more, Robert Dyas has the Netta 40V Cordless Lawnmower for £306.99. It has a 43cm wide cutting path and six adjustable heights that allow precise, efficient mowing for large lawns, according to the product description.

The Lawnmaster lawnmower has gained a 4.5 out of five-star overall rating from more than 1,000 reviews on Amazon. One person said: “Yeah, so you know that first time you got an air fryer and you realised life would never be the same again? Well, that. This mower has been a revelation and makes my life so much easier. I have two small lawns, one front and one back, and the rigmarole of extension leads and mower cables is now a distant memory.”

Another added: “Brilliant mower, easy to put together and nice and light for manoeuvring. Cut the lawn really well and the results were so much better than with my old lawn mower. I would definitely recommend it. Also, having the two batteries was a bonus. One battery was more than sufficient for two reasonable sized lawns.”

A third person commented: “Good mower, once assembled. Two batteries make life easier for me as my lawn is quite large.”

Some people removed a star, as one said: “The handle is a bit uncomfortable, but otherwise, a great little mower (so far!)”

Another added: “Comes with two batteries, one of which doesn’t fully charge, just enough for my lawn front and back, so (it’s) OK. A bit squeaky and flimsy but hasn’t broken yet. I don’t expect it to last that long but nothing does nowadays!”
