Moment ‘man with brick’ is bundled by cops after falling from window at school incident
A man has been arrested on suspicion of breaching a court order and criminal damage after allegedly entering the grounds of St Marks R C Primary School in Swinton, Salford, with a brick, reportedly causing alarm to staff and pupils

These photos depict the moment a man was apprehended by police on a nearby road after a brick was allegedly brought onto the premises of a primary school in Salford.
Police were summoned to the St Marks R C Primary School on Queensway around 10am this morning (Friday, June 19) following reports of a ‘concern for welfare’. They discovered a man had trespassed onto the school grounds with a brick, causing ‘alarm to staff and pupils’.
Images revealed a window at the school damaged in the incident. No children or staff were injured, a spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police confirmed.
The man was ‘potentially experiencing a medical episode’, according to the police. He was transported to hospital after officers ‘gained control of him’, reports the Manchester Evening News.
The 36-year-old man was subsequently arrested on suspicion of violating a court order and criminal damage, GMP stated.
Shortly after the incident at the school, photos surfaced showing what seemed to be a man being detained on nearby Rake Lane. Several officers were pictured surrounding the man on the ground outside a house after the suspect fell from a window.
St Marks R C Primary School will stay closed for the remainder of the day. The school reportedly went into ‘lockdown’ with parents encouraged to pick up their children.
Several police cars were parked outside the school this afternoon. A crime scene investigation van was also seen at the location.
In a statement on the incident at the school, a GMP spokesperson said: “Emergency services were called to reports of a concern for welfare on Queensway in Swinton at around 10am this morning (Friday 19 June).
“A man – who was potentially suffering a medical episode – entered the school grounds with a brick, causing alarm to school staff and pupils and damaging a window. Officers arrived on scene quickly and gained control of the man, who was taken by ambulance staff to hospital.
“No harm was caused to any of the school staff or the pupils, and the school has made the decision to close for the day and send children home.”
A spokesperson for Salford council said: “We are aware of the incident that took place at St Mark’s Primary School in Swinton on Friday morning. We are working with colleagues from GMP and NW Ambulance Service, as well as supporting the staff at the school.
“As always, the safety and wellbeing of pupils, staff and the wider school community is the key priority.”
