Football chief ‘flies mistress out to US resort’ earlier than spouse arrives at World Cup

A football chief allegedly flew his mistress out to New York before the World Cup before jetting to meet his wife at the World Cup opening ceremony

A football chief has come under fire after allegations of using federation funds to fly out his mistress to the World Cup before his wife arrived at the opening ceremony.

Brazilian Football Confederation President Samir Xaud, 42, is claimed to have flown his mistress to New York, before jetting off to Mexico City for the opening ceremony, according to local outlet Portal Leo Dias.

Fitness influencer Camila Cristina Andrade, reportedly spent eight days at Manhattan’s Hyatt Regency Grand Central allegedly booked under Xaud’s name. According to reports, the hotel stay roughly cost $11,500 (£8,750).

The outlet has also shared snaps of the pair dining at Harry Cipriani on June 3 before leaving in a vehicle also allegedly rented by the federation.

However, Xaud is set to have quickly left the Big Apple as he travelled to Mexico’s clash with South Africa – where he was he reunited with his wife of more than 20 years, Natalia Xaud, with whom he shares three children.

It’s not the first time he’s allegedly used federation funds to jet influencers across the globe.

The report claims Xaud used federation funds to send model and influencer, Tamares Fernandes Barcellos, to Qatar for a FIFA Intercontinental World Cup match in December 2025.

The Brazilian Federation was quick to respond to the report, and in a statement to Radio Itatiaia, the organization said: “The CBF rejects the information regarding the alleged misuse of the entity’s funds published today by the Léo Dias portal.

“Expenses incurred by the entity are exclusively linked to the CBF’s institutional activities, and personal expenses of its directors are covered by themselves.

“The current CBF administration is based on the pillars of transparency, administrative responsibility, and a commitment to integrity. The CBF reiterates that it remains available for any further clarification.”
