Arsenal information: Mikel Arteta’s switch goal makes stance clear as method made for star

Arsenal are yet to make any new signings this summer, but the Gunners are still working hard behind the scenes to reportedly secure several new arrivals before the transfer window closes

Transfer rumours surrounding Arsenal are intensifying as we near two weeks since the summer window opened. The Gunners are yet to officially confirm any new first-team signings, though they have continued grafting away behind the scenes.

Numerous targets, both at home and overseas, have been extensively linked. Nevertheless, it is anticipated that the genuine dealings will take place next month as the World Cup 2026 reaches its conclusion.

Mikel Arteta is believed to be eager to strengthen in several areas, particularly central midfield, left wing and striker. That could witness the 2025/26 Premier League champions splash out close to the record £250million figure they invested last year.

Arsenal target Ayyoub Bouaddi will only consider clubs this summer who can guarantee him a “key role”, according to The Athletic. The Lille midfielder, 18, has been linked with several big clubs, including Arsenal and Real Madrid, reports the Mirror.

He is currently representing Morocco at the World Cup, where his impressive performances have caught the eye. But football.london reports Arsenal sporting director Berta had already made inroads with Bouaddi’s representatives.

These discussions didn’t occur this week; it’s believed they took place as early as the beginning of the year, with the Italian boss recognising Bouaddi as a world-class talent for some time.

However, the Athletic report suggests Berta would need to assure him of regular playing time to persuade him to depart Lille, who clinched Champions League qualification this season.

Approach made for Leandro Trossard

Saudi Pro League outfit Al Diraiyah have reportedly tabled a £17m bid for Leandro Trossard. The 31-year-old has previously been linked with an exit from north London, with the Gunners thought to be prioritising a new left-sided winger this summer.

Now, according to Belgian publication Het Nieuwsblad, Saudi club Al-Diraiyah have expressed interest in signing Trossard and approached the Gunners with a £17m proposal.

Al-Diraiyah are looking to strengthen their squad after securing promotion to Saudi’s top-flight and Dougie Freedman, the club’s sporting director, views the Belgium international, currently performing at the World Cup, as a prime target.

It’s reported they are prepared to offer Trossard, who has only 12 months remaining on his current contract at the Emirates Stadium, a deal worth nearly £9m-a-year if he signals his willingness to relocate to the Middle East, which the report describes as a ‘monster’ offer.

Aston Villa, Besiktas and Newcastle United are among other clubs that have been associated with a move for Trossard, who has netted 36 goals and provided 34 assists in 174 appearances for Arsenal.
