Ex-football CEO and prime paramedic amongst 13 males named after lady ‘drugged and raped’

A paramedic who once met Prince Harry and an ex-football chief are among 13 men accused of taking part in an alleged drug and rape conspiracy. Today they can be named after reporting restrictions were lifted.
They are accused of conspiring to drug and rape a man’s wife while she was unconscious. The husband, a man in his 60s from Stockport, Greater Manchester, has admitted to some sexual offences against his wife.
However, he will face a jury for allegedly drugging her for sex between 2004 and 2025, charges which he denies. He also refutes the allegations of conspiring with others to drug and rape his wife between 2018 and 2025. His identity remains undisclosed to protect the anonymity of his wife.
The 13 co-defendants aged between 28 and 73 have been named as Keith Fotheringham, 59, from Dundee, Scotland, who has already pleaded guilty to assault by penetration, conspiracy to rape, conspiracy to assault by penetration, and conspiracy to administer a substance with intent to stupefy or overpower.
David Graves, 59, from Ilkeston, Derbyshire; Daniel Rayner, 42, from Whitstable, Kent; and Karl Lindsay, 55, from Taunton, Somerset, are all due to stand trial on September 1.
Karl Lindsay was CEO of Taunton Town FC but resigned around the time of his arrest in November last year.
All of these defendants have denied charges of conspiracy to rape, conspiracy to assault by penetration and conspiracy to administer a substance with intent.
Graham Brougham, 73, from Northwich, Cheshire, has entered not guilty pleas to rape, conspiracy to rape and conspiracy to assault by penetration.
Philip Wild, 58, from Stockport in Greater Manchester, has rejected charges of attempted rape, assault by penetration, sexual assault, conspiracy to rape, and conspiracy to assault by penetration.
Mohammed Sabir, 28, also from Stockport, has entered not guilty pleas to three counts of rape, conspiracy to rape, and conspiracy to assault by penetration.
Jonathan Kirk, 43, a senior paramedic from Stockport who met Prince Harry on a royal visit in the wake of the 2011 UK riots, the Sun reports.. He refutes allegations of rape, conspiracy to rape, and conspiracy to assault by penetration.
Sean Peers, 37, from Stockport, has submitted not guilty pleas to assault by penetration and conspiracy to assault by penetration.
Jordan Wallace, 31, from Wythenshawe in Manchester, has rejected charges of rape, attempted rape, and conspiracy to rape.
Alan Keelan, 42, from Wythenshawe, and Robert Stewart, 70, from Stockport, both refute two counts of rape and conspiracy to rape.
Richard Townsend, 37, from Heywood in Greater Manchester, rejects assault by penetration and conspiracy to assault by penetration.
In a development on Monday, the husband, who cannot be named, changed some of his pleas after initially rejecting all 48 counts against him related to his wife.
He confessed to five counts of rape, six counts of assault by penetration, and three counts of sexual assault that occurred between 2022 and 2025. Furthermore, he admitted to distributing intimate photos or videos of his wife without her consent for sexual pleasure.
The accused has refuted 11 charges of rape, two charges of attempted rape, seven charges of assault by penetration, four charges of sexual assault, four charges of conspiracy to rape, three charges of conspiracy to assault by penetration, one charge of conspiracy to administer a substance with intent and one charge of administering a substance with intent.
Another preliminary hearing is scheduled for August 24 at Manchester Minshull Street Crown Court, just one week before the anticipated 12-week trial.
