‘A horse kicked me into coma – dishonest loss of life gave me braveness to grow to be Babestation star’

Adult model Kasey Aims spent nine weeks in hospital after suffering devastating head injuries when she was kicked in the head while working with horses

A woman who cheated death after a horse kicked her into a coma says the freak accident gave her the courage to become a Babestation model after years of being too scared to follow her dream.

Kasey Aims spent nine weeks in hospital after suffering devastating head injuries when she was kicked in the head while working with horses. She was left with severe brain swelling, forcing doctors to place her into a coma before carrying out emergency surgery.

But instead of living in fear afterwards, Kasey says surviving the ordeal completely changed her outlook on life and gave her the encouragement she needed to take a punt on a life she had dreamed of.

For years, she’d dreamed of becoming a Babestation model but never had the confidence to take the leap. Speaking on the Option One Podcast, Kasey @‌kaseyaims, revealed how the terrifying accident changed the course of her life.

She said: “You can kind of see the scar on my eyebrow. That’s where it kicked me.

“I was apparently bringing two horses in from the field. One of them was an older horse with no shoes on. The other one was quite new to the yard, a bit bigger and a bit skittish.

“We’re kind of all assuming it was that one. We don’t even know which horse it was. No one saw it.

“When something that traumatic happens to you, your brain blocks the memory, which is probably a good thing.”

The 33-year-old, who previously competed as a showjumper, has no memory of the accident itself but has been left with some ongoing issues – including a wariness of the animals.

She said: “I was in hospital for nine weeks. The only thing I’d say it has caused is migraines.

“I had double vision and had to wear these glasses because one of the lenses was frosted. I’m not scared of horses, but I’m definitely more cautious around them.”

Doctors placed Kasey into a coma after her brain began swelling. She underwent emergency surgery, during which surgeons inserted a drain into her brain.

When she recovered, doctors told her one of the bone fragments had come within less than a millimetre of her optic nerve.

She said: “They put me into a coma. One of the little fragments was less than a millimetre from my optical nerve. I know I’ve cheated death.”

Looking back, Kasey believes surviving the accident forced her to rethink everything she’d been putting off.

She said: “I kind of always wanted to be a stripper. I’d always wanted to be in the adult industry, but I just did not have the confidence. I was full of anxiety.”

After studying psychology and cyber psychology at university, Kasey struggled to find work in the field before deciding to try a pole dancing fitness class.

She quickly fell in love with performing, went on to work as a stripper before moving into camming and eventually fulfilling her dream of becoming a Babestation model.

She said: “One day I thought, ‘You know what? I’m going to go to a pole fitness class.’ That was where it took off. I loved it.”

Now, Kasey says the near-death experience remains the moment that changed everything.

She said: “It kind of made me realise life is short. What happened to me was such a freak accident. It does make you think life’s so short. Do what you want.”

Today, Kasey says she has no regrets about finally pursuing the career she’d always wanted.

She said: “Everyone here is so great. I think that’s what really helped me when I first started because I was nervous, but everyone was just so lovely.”

She added: “People are going to judge you no matter what you do. You may as well do what you want. hat’s exactly what I’m doing.”
