Man Utd information: £85m Aurelien Tchouameni approval as switch goal ‘snubs new contract’
Manchester United have received a major transfer boost with the Red Devils eyeing him their top midfield target and Aurelien Tchouameni called a ‘perfect’ signing
Manchester United will aim to build upon the momentum from their third-place Premier League campaign with fresh additions ahead of next season and a new midfielder is key.
Following his transformation of his former club’s fortunes, Michael Carrick has now secured the permanent role at United. They will face Champions League commitments next term and are likely to require reinforcements across several positions.
The top priority, though, remains plugging the gap left by Casemiro. Ederson is anticipated to complete his switch from Atalanta shortly, yet a second midfield recruit remains on the club’s radar. They may have received encouraging news in their chase for one star. Here’s all the latest news from Old Trafford.

Alex Scott’s response
United’s search for a marquee midfield acquisition has not been successful so far this summer, reports the Mirror.
Their bid for Mateus Fernandes came up short, with the Portuguese star moving to Tottenham for £85m. But another option may prove a cheaper yet equally impressive addition.
Bournemouth’s Alex Scott has been on United’s radar for some time and The Athletic reports he has now turned down several contract proposals from the Cherries.
The report suggests the 22-year-old is United’s primary target for a midfield signing, despite Bournemouth maintaining he is not available this summer.
The player’s existing deal runs until 2028 and earlier reports suggested the Guernsey-born midfielder would welcome a switch to Old Trafford.
Aurelien Tchouameni green light
Another name being mentioned alongside United this window is Real Madrid’s Aurelien Tchouameni.
Reports suggest approaches have been made regarding a potential transfer for the Frenchman, 26, whose valuation stands at around £85m.
Former AC Milan and Chelsea defender Marcel Desailly reckons his fellow countryman would fancy a move to England and would prove a “perfect” captain in the engine room for United.
“I’m sure Aurelien Tchouameni would move to the Premier League, and Manchester United is still a massive club; a massive name,” he told Sportscasting. com.
“He had a difficult season, but at least he shows leadership. That’s why when you talk about Ibrahima Konate or Tchouameni, I’ll always choose Tchouameni because of his desire. And he also wears my No. 8 on his back, so I love him for this!
“I believe that he has that little bit of leadership and the desire to bring the team all together. So it could be a good move for him, just like when Raphael Varane swapped Madrid for Manchester back in the day. So why not? I would encourage him to go for it and try the Premier League.”
