Woman choke slammed girlfriend after she ‘did not need to be sexual’ together with her

A spurned lover “choke slammed” her girlfriend after she said she “didn’t want to get sexual” with her, police say. Tykia Sherman, 32, flew into a rage when her partner rejected her sexual advances at their home in St Petersburg, Florida, US.
She is said to have strangled the unnamed woman before performing the WWE-style attack on her and chasing her round the house with a pair of scissors. Sherman, who has a tattoo of an AK-47 assault rifle, was arrested by cops.
The 31-year-old victim told police that after she declined to engage in sexual activity, Sherman “became upset” and shoved her against a wall and struck her numerous times, according to an arrest report filed by officers.
She added that Sherman then choked her and slammed her onto a couch. An “independent witness” told investigators she “observed the defendant chase the victim out of the house and fall to the ground,” the report states.
An affidavit said the couple had lived together for around two months and are in a “committed sexual relationship”.
It reads: “The victim was choke slammed onto the couch in the living room; due to the choke the victim’s breathing was restricted during the incident. The victim stated the defendant became upset over the victim not wanting to be sexual this morning.
“She was pushed against a wall and was struck numerous times. She was then choked slammed onto the couch, before being able to get away. The defendant than retrieve a pair of gray scissors from the living room and chasing the victim out of the house.
“The victim knocked on their neighbors door for assistance. An independent witness advised she observed the defendant chase the victim out of the house and fall to the ground.”
Sherman, who is 5’2” and 220lb, was arrested on suspicion of committing domestic battery by strangulation. She is being held in jail with a bond of $100,000.
She has two separate convictions for assaulting prior girlfriends, court documents show.
In one of the cases, Sherman texted her then girlfriend, “Hoe you walk through this door Ima kill you,” and threatened to “put the victim in the dirt,” according to court records.
