Green light on Vinicius Jr deal

Arsenal are reportedly prepared to shatter their salary structure in order to secure Vinicius this summer, reports the Mirror.

The club are ready to go all out to capture the Real Madrid star by also presenting him with a colossal wage packet. The Brazilian has one year remaining on his contract and Arsenal can provide him with a substantial remuneration package.

Arsenal possess the financial capability to satisfy the 26-year-old’s staggering £500,00-per-week wage demands, which would establish him as comfortably the club’s highest earner, with Bukayo Saka.

Such an agreement would stretch Arsenal’s salary structure dramatically and influence future negotiations with other prominent stars such as Declan Rice, with whom the club continue discussions regarding an extension.

The French international has been on Arsenal’s radar all summer, as Arteta has made the acquisition of a left winger a priority. However, Premier League competitors Liverpool are seen as the front-runners to secure Barcola.

L’Equipe now suggests that Arsenal, whose interest in Barcola old isn’t as strong as Liverpool’s, are prepared to abandon their pursuit of the talented dribbler.

The primary reason being that Arsenal are only willing to shell out up to €90million (£77m) for his services, while the European champions are demanding €120m (£103m).
