B&M publicizes UK retailer closures in August as dates now confirmed

Budget retailer B&M has revealed the dates when some of its stores will be closing this month, either for refurbishment or relocation.
B&M, which recently finished renovation work at stores in locations including Pentwyn, Stockport and Leicester, is planning additional changes to two more of its shops in the upcoming weeks.
Its shop in Carmarthen, south-west Wales, is set to relocate from its current site in the town centre to a former B&Q building on Glanyrafon Road.
The existing Hall Street store is due to close on Saturday, August 15, with the new Parc Pensam store ready to welcome its customers a week later on Saturday, August 22.

The new location is significantly larger and is said to be among Carmarthen’s largest retail spaces.
Meanwhile, B&M’s Hylton Riverside Retail Park store in Sunderland will shut for refurbishment on Sunday, August 16, reports the Express.
The store is set to reopen six days later on August 22.
On its website, B&M apologised for any inconvenience, stating: “In order to complete the final phase, it will be necessary for a closure period.”
The retailer explained that the expansion works were designed to offer shoppers a “bigger and better B&M experience”.
B&M, which offers a range of homeware, groceries, toys, seasonal goods and more, has over 700 stores across the UK.
According to its website, the retailer welcomes more than four million customers every week.
Earlier this year, it launched new outlets in locations such as Diss, Norfolk, Waltham Cross, Hertfordshire, and Plymstock in Plymouth, Devon.
It has also revealed plans for a colossal 13,660 sq ft mega-store in a former Debenhams building.
The shop at Thistles Shopping Centre in Stirling is slated to open its doors later this year.
Established in 1978, B&M boasts a workforce of over 35,000 individuals.
