Speaking about the agreement, BBC Wales’ head of sport Carolyn Hitt said: This deal strengthens our commitment to provide live coverage of Welsh football, and follows our recent announcement to show all of the UEFA Wales men’s international games up until Euro 2028.

“We hope this will be welcome news to Welsh football fans as we continue to bring sport to free-to-air television.”

Football Association Wales head of domestic leagues Jack Sharp added: “This agreement represents another significant step in growing the profile of the Novira Cymru Premier, enabling us to reach more supporters across Wales and the wider UK through increased free-to-air coverage.

“The BBC’s commitment to Welsh domestic football will play an important role in increasing awareness of the league, attracting new audiences, and supporting our wider ambition to continue growing the game.”

The agreement comes after a revamp of the league for the new season, which has seen it expand from 12 to 16 clubs.

Matches will also predominantly take place on Friday evenings.

The move comes after ITV reached a deal with Sky Sports to show 10 Championship clashes free-to-air between now and the end of the season.
