Man Utd information: Carlos Baleba medical set forward of £70m transfer with subsequent switch already deliberate
Manchester United are expected to sign Carlos Baleba before the end of the summer transfer window, but the Red Devils are not done there
Manchester United return to Premier League duty at Saturday lunchtime, making the trip to newcomers Hull City.
Youri Tielemans and Andrey Santos are both vying for starting spots after completing moves from Aston Villa and Chelsea respectively. And the duo could be joined by a fresh midfielder with a swoop for Carlos Baleba back on the cards.
And while Baleba appears set to be the next arrival, he may not be the final one. Here are our Daily Star Sport’s latest updates from Old Trafford.

Once United have wrapped up their pursuit of Carlos Baleba, the club are anticipated to switch focus towards landing a new left-back as their fifth senior summer acquisition, reports the Manchester Evening News.
Luke Shaw remains United’s preferred choice in that role, but the extra pressures of Champions League competition suggest the club might pursue additions both immediately and for the future.
Lewis Hall and Jorge Salinas have both been earmarked as potential acquisitions, while Alejandro Balde’s name has emerged in connection with a United move this week.
Unless Newcastle can be convinced to relax their stubborn stance on Hall, United may need to exercise patience regarding the former Chelsea talent.
Arsenal plan to keep Myles Lewis-Skelly
Mikel Arteta dismissed Myles Lewis-Skelly departure rumours, insisting the England international will “100 per cent” remain at the Emirates Stadium when the transfer window shuts.
The comments seem to extinguish any prospects of an Old Trafford transfer following suggestions United or rivals Chelsea might swoop for the youngster.
“The players that have been raised in our system, and they feel generally that love and that connection with the club, bring something else, there’s no question about that,” Arsenal’s manager added.
“We need to look after them in a really special way because they bring value that is very difficult to find. That’s why, when we can, we want to protect those assets as much as possible, develop them and make them extremely important for the club.”
