Wembley Stadium hearth as large blaze close to venue sees 125 firefighters at scene

A massive fire has broken out near Wembley Stadium, London, following reports an explosion was heard at an energy, waste and recycling facility.
More than 100 firefighters and 20 fire engines are tackling the blaze, which broke out on Hannah Close, Neasden, as smoke can be seen for miles. London Fire Brigade was called on Friday morning to the fire at an industrial estate in Neasden, just under a mile from the famous venue.
London Fire Brigade have stated: “The fire is located at a mixed waste facility, and an industrial unit approximately 100m by 150m is currently alight. Three of the Brigade’s 32m ladders have been mobilised to the scene as part of our response, alongside the Brigade’s Drone Team.
“Firefighters have also deployed a hose laying unit and high volume pump to the scene. This will increase the amount of water available to firefighters as they work to bring the fire under control.” The cause of the devastating blaze remains unclear.

The massive fire can be seen across northwest London as smoke has been spotted rising high above blocks of flats, across railways and into the sky.
A statement from the fire service added: “Twenty fire engines and around 125 firefighters are responding to a fire on Hannah Close, Neasden. Residents in the immediate area should close doors and windows, remaining inside where possible, due to the large amount of smoke being produced.
“The brigade’s control room took the first of over 70 calls reporting the fire at 11.34am. Crews from Wembley, Park Royal, Willesden and surrounding fire stations have been mobilised to the scene.”
The fire has erupted near both rail and tube lines in the local area as London Fire Brigade has confirmed the incident has affected Tube services.
The entire Metropolitan line has been suspended due to the ongoing blaze.
“No service on the entire line while we respond to a fire alert at Neasden,” TfL said.
The Jubilee line has also been part suspended. Currently there is no service between Willesden Green and Wembley Park on the line.
There are minor delays on the rest of the line.
TfL stated: “No service between Willesden Green and Wembley Park and MINOR DELAYS on the rest of the line while we respond to a fire alert at Neasden. Tickets will be accepted on London Buses.”
The London Fire Brigade have told locals who are in the immediate area to “close doors and windows” and remain inside where possible due to the massive smoke plume.
Shocking videos of the fire have been posted to social media as massive plumes of smoke reach into the sky.
Hannah Close in Neasden, where the blaze erupted, is home to an industrial and logistics estate that sits directly alongside railway lines.
The estate holds numerous industrial units and distribution warehouses.
