Donald Trump has sent the internet into meltdown after stepping off Air Force One sporting a bizarre dark new trim. The 80-year-old President, notoriously sensitive about his iconic golden mane, was snapped touching down in Morristown, New Jersey, before heading off for a weekend at his Bedminster golf club.
Dressed in his standard navy suit and bright yellow tie, it wasn’t his outfit that had onlookers doing a double-take, but his shockingly darker locks. Social media users and commentators immediately jumped on the opportunity to roast the politician’s fresh look.
Journalist Aaron Rupar took to X (formerly Twitter) to express sheer disbelief, writing: “What is [sic] the world is going on with Trump’s hair?”

Meanwhile, high-profile lawyer and fierce Trump critic George Conway took things a step further, joking: “Something needs to be done about his hair under the Twenty-Fifth Amendment.”
Media commentator Yashar Ali admitted he had to check the pictures twice before posting: “The hair???? If I hadn’t pulled the photos from Getty Images myself, I wouldn’t have believed it.”
Former Republican congressman Adam Kinzinger couldn’t contain his reaction either, simply posting: “You have got to be kidding me.”

The ruthless online teasing kept piling up as users weighed in on the sudden dye job. Molly Jong-Fast said: “Trump is now a brunette!”
Anne Lamott sarcastically wrote: “I love it. So youthful. Very Pierce Brosnan.” Paul Rudnick took a darker jab, saying: “Trump told his stylist, ‘I want to look like serial killer Rex Heuermann.'”
Trump’s hair has been a source of wild online theories and late-night TV talk show debates for decades, with critics long alleging he wears a wig.
Last month, eyebrows were raised when his locks appeared brighter and thicker than usual during a public appearance.
Addressing the relentless rumours directly during a speech in the White House Rose Garden, Trump previously said: “For years, I had to suffer with people saying, ‘He wears a wig.’ I don’t wear a wig.”
Whether it’s a dye job gone horribly wrong or just a dramatic new style choice, Trump’s latest look has ensured all eyes remain firmly on his head.
