A young dancer has been discovered dead and burnt on a beach after disappearing during a night out with mates.

Sindy Loany Matute Morales, 21, left her home to go to a party on Saturday (September 5) before abruptly ceasing to answer her mobile. The mum-of-one’s body was found close to the waterline in Santa Rosa de Aguán, Honduras, the next evening. Officers said her remains bore evidence of being set alight.

Sindy’s heartbroken mum has since disclosed her daughter had previously complained about being stalked by dodgy individuals. Marlen Yesenia Matute Morales said Sindy had even quit her job after spotting people loitering outside her workplace.

Her daughter would eerily tell her: “Mum, I won’t last. I know I’m not going to live forever.” Sindy had marked her 21st birthday just days before on August 30.

The young mum, who leaves behind a four-year-old daughter, was a passionate dancer and frequently performed at local celebrations.

She had also taken part in her town’s carnival at the end of August, as reported by NeedToKnow. Devastating footage showing Sindy grinning and dancing in the procession has been shared following her death.

She also boasted a following on TikTok under the username Lohany Morales, with roughly 12,900 followers and over 130,000 likes.

A neighbour informed Sindy’s family after her body was found on Sunday evening.

Her remains were transported to a mortuary in Tocoa just before 11pm, where her mother went to confirm her identity.

Marlen revealed: “I went out to look for her and, when I tried to act, they had already brought her dead to Tocoa. They didn’t just kill her; they burned her as well.”

She admitted that she doesn’t know whether her daughter was already deceased when her body was set alight.

Police and forensic teams are currently piecing together Sindy’s last hours and working to identify those accountable.

No arrests have been made thus far, and no official motive has been determined.
