Teacher requested pupil, 16, ‘do you want what you see’ and had automotive intercourse with one other teen

A sicko teacher contacted a pupil on social media and asked “do you like what you see”, a court has heard.
Disgraced Tayla Brailey, 32, pleaded guilty to sex abuse charges in relation to two teens aged 16 and 17 back in March. Australia‘s NSW District Court heard the former educator targeted her victims over social media and then instructed them “not to tell anyone”.
“The offender instigated the chat … by asking ‘Do you like what you see? I see you liking my photos’, to which [the younger student] said ‘Yeah I do’,” the prosecutor said.
During a phone call Brailey told one victim she was going to take a shower. She then sent him an explicit picture of her reflection. She then asked the boy to send her an explicit. photo. The boy did, leading her to respond: “Yum”.
The court heard Brailey then set up a meeting with the student and sexually touched and kissed him. She then blocked him on social media.

Her communication with the older pupil started after the boy added her on Snapchat before they sent nudes to each other, the court heard. During their conversation Brailey sent the boy a photo of herself, leading him to say: “Let’s go somewhere”.
The court heard they then met up at a secluded address and had sex in the back of the teen’s car.
In both instances prosecutors stated there was no use of force, threats, or lack of consent. Prosecutors added that the offence involved a breach of trust from the teacher. Brailey told the two teens to “delete conversations” so she could avoid getting into trouble.
Both offences happened during the summer of 2024 just 12 months after Brailey was wed. Following her arrest, the NSW Department of Education stated she had been suspended from work without pay.
They added support was being provided to the students and staff at the school. After she was detained Brailey admitted to sexually touching the child, 17, and using a carriage service to access child abuse material (CAM).

The ex-teacher also admitted to sexually touching a 16-year-old and transmitting child abuse material to herself via a carriage service. Brailey’s barrister stated her client was suffering from “uncharacteristic and irrational sexual urge” due to undiagnosed bipolar disorder.
The prosecutor stated: “There is no real contest that she’s demonstrated remorse, that she has taken significant steps towards rehabilitation in terms of addressing the underlying mental health issues.”
“There is also no contest that there is evidence of a mental health issue that contributed in some way to the commission of the offence such that the offender’s moral culpability may be found to be reduced.”
The prosecutor acknowledged the woman’s mental health condition but stressed she knew her actions were illegal and wrong.
They added: “The offence is concerned with the exploitation by an adult of a special care relationship. Teachers are by and large…adults who ought to know better.
“Whilst here the offender was compromised in some way by her then undiagnosed bipolar disorder, she did however realise what she was doing was morally wrong and illegal.”
