Arsenal information: Max Dowman supplied switch escape route as Mikel Arteta handed ‘big favour’

Arsenal have one more game before the extended international break – and they will travel to Brighton on Saturday afternoon, with the Seagulls in a buoyant mood after dismantling Manchester United on Wednesday.
However, Arteta might be using the break to think about his squad and potential transfers. Max Dowman impressed against Ipswich in the cup, but he might not be an Arsenal player when January rolls around after the youngster was offered an escape route.
Interest has emerged from one of Arsenal’s former favourite son’s – and it could provide him with the chance for some more first team minutes. And with that in mind, Daily Star Sport brings you all the latest news from the Emirates Stadium.

Former Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere was reportedly keen on securing Dowman’s services at Luton Town on loan this season. Head scout Mick Harford revealed to talkSPORT that the League One side were eager to provide the youngster with more consistent senior football chances.
Harford said: “I think Jack’s asked him a couple of times, Mikel, but I don’t think he’ll be going out on loan,” reports the Mirror. Wilshere has had direct experience with Dowman after coaching him in the Arsenal U18s.
Harford drew parallels between the two players – with Wilshere also an emerging teenage prospect in north London – and reckons the 16 year old possesses the attributes to become a “superstar.”
He continued: “Jack was a wonderful footballer, he still is on the training ground. He started, not as a wide man, but as a wide man tucking in those little pockets, getting on the ball and creating stuff. Dowman looks more of a wide man than a pocket player, but a wonderful talent.
“I think he will get more game time and I think if he produces, I think Arteta will play him. I’m a believer in if you’re ready, I don’t care what age you are. If you’re good enough, you’ll play and I’m sure he will. He looks like he’s going to be a superstar.”

Former Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has handed Havertz an opportunity to rest and gear up for Arsenal’s demanding fixture list during the international break.
Klopp has selected the striker to turn out for Germany as they tackle the Netherlands away from home and welcome Greece in their opening two matches. Nevertheless, a different squad has been chosen to face Serbia at home, then make the trip to Greece at the conclusion of the break.
This will allow Havertz a fortnight to gear up for the Premier League’s resumption at the Emirates Stadium on October 10.
This dual squad approach is being hailed as a groundbreaking move by Klopp, as it provides greater chances to other international talents and allows those facing packed fixture schedules the opportunity to recuperate.
Speaking about his choice, the former Reds manager said: “Putting together the squad was fun. I want to get to know as many players as possible and get as many impressions of them as possible.”
