Man Utd flop, 27, noticed coaching with MLS minnows after leaving Old Trafford
A former Manchester United star has been spotted training with an MLS side as he looks to rebuild his career after a knee injury ruined his career

A Manchester United megaflop has been spotted training with an MLS side as he looks to resurrect his career.
Tyrell Malacia, 27, was the Red Devils’ forgotten man at Old Trafford – and he finally left the club in the summer when his contract expired. However, he was unable to find a club over the summer, as he remained a free agent even in September.
The Dutch full-back has now journeyed stateside as he hopes to rebuild his once promising career. Malacia has been snapped training with FC Cincinnati’s first team as they weigh up whether to offer him a permanent deal.

According to various reports, Malacia is on trial at the club. FC Cincinnati said: “FC Cincinnati has a good relationship with Malacia’s agent, training with the team is an opportunity for both parties to see if they are a good fit.”
Last season, Malacia played just 15 minutes of senior football before his contract expired – bringing to an end four years at Old Trafford.
He was signed for £13million and was seemed like he was destined to flourish in Manchester – but his career was derailed after a serious knee injury.
He would spend 17 months away from the game, and required two operations before finally returning to action. The injury meant he would only make 11 appearances for United in three years.
Malacia did spent a short amount of time on loan at PSV Eindhoven – but he could only 12 appearances before returning to Manchester.
FC Cincinnati are currently ninth in the MLS’ Eastern Conference and face two away games in their upcoming fixtures with trips to Houston and Montreal.
