A former Harry Potter star who joined OnlyFans to save her family from debt has revealed the warning one co-star gave her. Jessie Cave, who played Lavender Brown in the films, signed up to the subscription site, which has a reputation for adult content, during a point of “complete desperation” after being rejected from another acting job.

The mum-of-four recently told The Times how it “genuinely saved our lives” after being able to profit from “hair content” — where her subscribers pay to see her playing with her long locks.

Jessie, 39, has now given a fresh interview where she was asked whether any of her Harry Potter co-stars had shown her support since she joined OnlyFans, which she said was heavily stigmatised.

She told the Tea at Four podcast: “Oh my God, so soon after I launched it, I did a Harry Potter convention. I’ve stopped doing Harry Potter conventions since for loads of reasons but I won’t go into that. Everyone there. It was like Devon (Murray) who plays Sheamus, and Evanna (Lynch), who plays Luna…

“There was a group of us together and we were all like in-between breaks talking about OnlyFans and joking about it and they were all helping me with ideas.”

And speaking about the warning Irish actor Devon gave her, she laughed: “Devon in particular was like, ‘You need to be careful about leaked photos.’”

She then responded by telling him that it would be the “best thing ever” if he took part in a hair video with her — which he agreed to do on the spot. And Jessie added: “He’s my favourite. Oh my God, I love him so much. And yeah, they were just so supportive. So supportive.”

And while Jessie insisted that her content is not sexual, she acknowledged that those who pay for it may get sexual gratification from it, something she holds no judgement on.

“You know, there’s a lot of lonely people in the world,” she said. “I’ve spoken to so many people from around the world now that are alone in the middle of the night and they just want something and it’s like, if they are going to pay for my milk this week, great. I’ll chat or I’ll send you this photo or you know, I find it quite beautiful.”

She previously stated that she made more from one year doing OnlyFans than her entire acting career combined. And asked whether she did make £15,000 in a single day, she confirmed that it was true.

The actress explained: “It was true on day one because it went so viral that people did subscribe but then they left within one day. They go in, they go out. So I probably did make that in a day but obviously I’m not making that every day and there are some times where my number of subscribers feel more like a group therapy session rather than like a successful business.”

She said that there will be times when a new subscriber turns up and immediately asks her to do something explicit — and she has no problem blocking them immediately.

The mum set out her boundaries from day one and has stuck to them, adding: “I have explained very clearly on my bio what I do. If you don’t like that, please leave. But you know, I’m not going to judge anyone for that.”
